[PASH]
Editorial from Advertising Age, May 10, 1965

This editorial, "Tinseled Time Out," bemoaned the number of special events scheduled, saying "advertisers can hardly squeeze any more promotion money into the beautiful month of May."

The editorial concluded:

As a matter of fact, the month is so crowded with promotions that it has reduced publicity men, of all people, to the most modest period of self-aggrandizement of all. Some time on Wednesday, May 5, and we seem to recall precisely when, there was a glittering lull in the day's occupations, a kind of tinseled time-out. It was called "Press Agents Shining Hour." We remember those 60 minutes well: not a press release, not a phone call from any press agent. They were all busy thanking heaven for their "unswitchables" -- accounts, that is.
